By accessing our platform or enrolling in any internship course, you consent to the data collection and usage practices described in this policy.

We collect information that you provide directly, as well as data generated automatically during your course of study:

We process your data for legitimate educational and platform administration purposes:

• Administering Internships: Processing enrollment, assigning task modules, and updating your progress percentages in real time.
• Official Offer Letters & Certificates: Rendering personalized, verifiable PDF credentials bearing your legal name, course title, and unique tracking code.
• Communications: Sending account confirmations, module reviews, certificate unlock notifications, and customer support responses.
• Academic Integrity & Security: Detecting and mitigating plagiarism, account hijacking, multiple account abuse, or falsified submissions.
• Platform Optimization: Analyzing aggregate completion metrics to refine course curriculum and improve usability.

A cornerstone of the Redback platform is employer-verifiable certification. To prevent credential forgery, our platform provides a public lookup portal accessible via:

• Scanning the QR code printed on your official Certificate of Completion.
• Entering your unique Intern ID or Certificate ID at redback.in/verify.

When you pay for a premium certificate verification fee:

• Transactions are processed securely through certified, PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways (e.g. Razorpay).
• Redback does not collect, process, or store credit card numbers, debit card PINs, CVV codes, or net banking passwords.
• We only retain non-sensitive transaction metadata (Order ID, Payment ID, Amount, Timestamp, and Payment Status) to reconcile receipts and unlock your certificate.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only under the following limited circumstances:

• Hiring Partners & Employers: When a hiring partner or corporate recruiter queries our certificate verification portal using your credential ID to confirm authentic completion.
• Academic Institutions: If you enrolled through an institutional college MoU or university partnership, aggregate or verified completion rosters may be shared with your college placement cell.
• Service Providers: Trusted third-party cloud hosting, transactional email delivery (e.g., SMTP services), and payment processors operating under strict confidentiality obligations.
• Legal Compliance: If required by Indian law enforcement, court subpoenas, or regulatory authorities to protect against fraud or platform safety threats.

We use strictly necessary and functional cookies to ensure a secure session:

• Authentication Cookies: To keep you securely logged into your intern dashboard across page reloads.
• CSRF Security Tokens: To protect forms against Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks.
• Preference Cookies: To remember UI state, active filter tabs, or search queries.

We do not use invasive cross-site ad trackers or behavioral profiling cookies.

We apply multi-layered technical and administrative controls to protect your records:

• Encryption in Transit: 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption across all endpoints and web pages.

We retain student registration records and task progress for as long as your account remains active. Verified completion certificates and associated credential IDs are retained indefinitely to guarantee lifetime verification for your future employers.

In accordance with applicable privacy regulations, you have the right to:

• Access and review the personal information associated with your account.
• Request correction of inaccurate information (e.g. spelling errors in name, college, or district).
• Request a copy of your task evaluation logs and certificate records.
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect technological advancements, legal requirements, or platform updates. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date". Continued use of Redback after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
